DAY

DAY
(Dies)

(The period of light when the sun is above the local horizon - the period from sunrise to sunset - opposed to Night.)

There are some amongst the ancient primitive tribes of the Vastus Mountains recalled in the Great Book of Legends that believe Day comes in the form of a magnificent dragon.

This fabulous beast has a hoard of diamonds, and shards of gold glimmer along his brilliant span as he makes his dazzling journey across the sky, banishing the shadows of Night to the caves and crevices. The verbu Magus reads "with the coming of Day the shy and the ugly retreat to their pockets of darkness, and the bold and the beautiful bathe in the glorious light." He closes the book with a wry smile.
